How To: Display Demand Info on the LCD

Overview

Beginning in firmware v. 4.7.1 there is the option to display min or max demand information on the LCD screen for walk-up reading.

Prerequisites

  • EG4xxx meter or newer
  • Firmware version 4.7.1

Instructions

Step 1: Access the preferences menu by navigating to Set up → Other settings:

 

Then click Preferences to the left.

 

Step 2:  In the preferences editor, set the demand interval and the method for calculating demand:  

  • Length of demand interval: ranges from 1 to 60 min
  • Method to use for calculating demand: choose rolling or set

Click Save at the bottom of the page to save your settings.

Step 3: Click LCD at the left to access the LCD settings. Place a tick mark in each item that you would like to be available for display on the LCD:

 

Click Save at the bottom of the page to save your settings.

 

Viewing demand data

Once the previous steps have been completed, the chosen items can be viewed on the LCD screen by using the toggle switch.  For more details on using the LCD menu, see: LCD Manual

 

Maximum demand items are shown as below with an up-facing caret along with the max demand value and the date and time that the value was reported.

 

Minimum demand items are shown as below with a down-facing caret along with the max demand value and the date and time that the value was reported.
